Getting Started
Get started by installing Remind in MS Teams if you have not done so already.
Set a reminder for yourself
In the 1:1 chat with Remind, set a typed reminder:
call Jane in 2 minutes
Remind will confirm your reminder and after 2 minutes the reminder will appear. Check the current list of your reminders by issuing the
list
command in the chat. After the reminder has occurred:
You can mark it as completed, snooze it for a later time or straight away delete it. Typed reminders not only support time intervals but also a specific date and time and even recurring reminders. They are especially handy on mobile, you can quickly set one after a call or while on the go.
Set a reminder on a message
Navigate to a chat you have with a coworker, hover over a message you would like to remind youself about, press the … ellipsis and select Remind me about this (or: More actions > Remind me about this).
On mobile you can access this action by a longer press on the message. Either select a preconfigured delay or set a custom date and time for the reminder to occur.
Access the Reminders tab
Next to the chat tab you can access the Reminders tab. If you open it for the first time, you will need to grant the app permission to use your Microsoft user id to log you in. Here you can manage your reminders, set new ones and change the settings of the app.
This is only a first glimpse into Remind, use the navigation on the left to discover recurring reminders, how to add Remind to conversations with other users, how to set reminders in conversations with other users, how to directly remind other users and more.
